Paisley is traditionally a twisted teardrop shaped design which originated in India and Persia.
 It is usually highly embellished in the centre of the shape with swirls and flowers.
I've extended my paisley range to include some other shapes  which are not common even for European paisley patterns but they go very well with the curvy teardrops. 

My favourite colours for these tiles are blue and green but they can of course be made in multicolours as well. 
 If you are old enough to remember the 70's you might recall all those vivid paisley patterned fabrics in bright bold colours.

Paisley lends itself well to tiles as they fit so nicely together, but I think more people buy my paisley to use as leaves and sea swirls than as tiles to lay down in any sort of pattern.
